Our journey began in 2014 with an idea between two brothers. One was an avid gamer and the other, eager to learn a new hobby. Upon struggling to find a friendly community in their local area, they decided to create their own. With the help of another family member they aimed at engaging the local community and offering friendly customer service to all that walk in the door.
It was hard work but 2017 began with the opening of their very small bricks and mortar store on a back street in Gawler. Shortly after, they gained the addition of another fellow gamer who believed in the same principles. Fast forward to today, and the team has grown further and so has the company. Table Top Warfare moved into a much bigger premises on the main street of Gawler and is now the biggest games and hobby store in South Australia.
The team has looked for other avenues to make gaming accessible, fun and open to everyone with community always at the forefront of what they do. This saw them grow further, launching the Rival Dice Co., their own dice brand. Their vision for this brand is for it to be a trendsetting and gnarly brand, producing dice that gamers can be proud to show off, attempting to remove some of the stigma that others have around dice and the games they’re used for.
The Rival Games team is fuelled by its community. Since the beginning they have seen it grow more than they could have ever dreamt, and it continues to do so. This is what drives the team to work hard everyday, offering a friendly and exciting space to visit by yourself or with friends. To come and join in on a card game. To come and browse for your next purchase. To come and join in on a miniatures tournament or learn how to play that TCG you’ve always wanted to try. The teams vision is that everyone has a space to come and enjoy their games and hobbies.
